The kind of music I wanted to portray through vector graphics is more of an intense dubstep type feel of music. I wanted my image to display a sort of mayhem, something not found in reality as well as a high contrast of color against a black background.
Starting this project out, I honestly did not have much of an idea whatsoever. And as I played around in Illustrator, I created this image of a person. I then created a second person to compliment the first.
And then I began to add faces, as well as incorporate some type of evolution from human to dog.
Instead of happy smiles, I instead then turned it into more of an unhappy person due to the fact of the way I created the image.
I was unsatisfied with what I can up with so I started sketching with different ideas.
The cup display didn't work out as I wanted to I kept the image of the person I created. I wanted to display some type of mayhem occurring with a black backdrop for dramatic effect. I received a lot of feed back such as this image looks too busy and that it does not correctly convey the true body proportions of a human.
So fast forward a lot to my recreating the person in general. I was still portrayed some type of mayhem by adding slime, I fixed body proportions and added the images of the past lined person in the background. I played with a lot of patterns and textures, adding it to the hair, dress and eventually the lips, nails, eyeliner, and slime.
I finally added the title of the band and the location, time and date.
